Who is Gina Maria Buckney?

With a two-decade track record of delivering high-impact transformation programmes, Gina brings deep operational expertise and commercial acumen to every organisation she partners with. Her career spans leadership roles in FTSE100 companies, including BT Group, where she was responsible for £87 million in annual revenue (contracted value of c £450m) and 450+ staff across UK and India offshore operations.

Her strength lies in combining commercial performance with people-first delivery. Gina has led large-scale restructures, technical transitions, and culture change initiatives, consistently turning underperforming units into top-ranked teams. Her leadership approach consistently drives high performance, even in high-pressure environments, and she has a reputation for shifting mindsets—ensuring teams thrive, not just survive, during change.

This highly acclaimed woman in business and technology is a 2x TEDx Global Speaker, a Harvard-trained neuroscience enthusiast, and an advocate for Emotional Intelligence (EQ), having completed professional study with the University of California, Berkeley. Most recently, she deepened her insight into behavioural leadership with a course in The Neuropsychology of Decision-Making at Cambridge University.
