    Carla De La Vega

Who is Carla De La Vega?

Carla de la Vega is a global expert in inclusive leadership, confidence, communication, and leadership visibility. A former CNN correspondent, bestselling author, and former Press Advisor to the Vice President of the Spanish Government and Minister of Economy, she brings more than two decades of international experience across seven countries and three continents.

Today, Carla works with senior leaders, executives, and organisations navigating complex, fast-moving environments. Her work focuses on a core insight: confidence and inclusion are not personality traits — they are leadership capabilities shaped by culture, systems, and visibility. When organisations understand this, they can unlock performance, innovation, and leadership potential across diverse talent.

Before moving fully into global speaking and advisory work, Carla built a career spanning journalism, government, and international leadership roles. On the surface, she was highly visible and accomplished. Behind the scenes, she experienced firsthand how confidence, voice, and credibility are often unevenly distributed — particularly for women and underrepresented leaders. That experience now underpins her mission: helping organisations create environments where people can lead with confidence, clarity, and impact.

Today, organisations bring Carla in when they recognise patterns such as:
    – talented women lacking visibility and sponsorship
    – leaders struggling to speak up with confidence and authority
    – inclusion efforts that lack traction or credibility
    – communication gaps across diverse, global teams
    – cultures where leadership potential is present but underutilised

Carla helps leaders understand what is really happening beneath the surface — drawing on storytelling, leadership research, behavioural insight, and global data. She shows how unspoken narratives, bias, and structural barriers shape confidence and progression — and how practical, strategic changes can shift leadership dynamics and performance.

Her keynotes and workshops combine storytelling, research, and lived experience. Participants leave not with abstract inspiration, but with clearer insight into their own leadership narrative and practical tools they can apply immediately to strengthen confidence, presence, and influence.

    Carla’s Services & Approach

Beyond her keynotes, Carla designs interactive workshops, leadership development programmes, and strategic advisory sessions for executives, leadership teams, and organisations. Her work focuses on strengthening confidence, communication, leadership visibility, and inclusive culture — helping leaders and teams show up with clarity, credibility, and impact.

Her sessions blend practical tools, research-backed insight, and powerful storytelling. Participants explore inner narratives, confidence blockers, visibility barriers, and the cultural dynamics that shape leadership behaviour. Carla creates psychologically safe spaces for honest reflection and equips leaders with concrete strategies they can apply immediately.

Her style is direct, warm, and deeply authentic. Drawing on her background as a CNN correspondent, government advisor, and global leadership expert, she brings stories from boardrooms, global organisations, and her own lived experience of rebuilding voice and confidence. Her goal is not to individualise the problem, but to help organisations see the patterns — and redesign cultures where inclusive leadership can genuinely thrive.

A Little More About Carla De La Vega

With a global career shaped across seven countries and a home base in Dubai, Carla brings a deeply multicultural lens to her work. Outside the boardroom, you’re likely to find her writing, reading, mentoring women leaders, or reflecting on how leadership, confidence, and culture intersect in an increasingly complex world.

Carla’s philosophy is rooted in a simple belief: leadership begins with the story you believe about yourself — and the stories your organisation reinforces. Confidence is not about personality or bravado; it is shaped by environment, opportunity, and visibility.

When organisations understand this, they stop asking individuals to “fix themselves” and instead build systems, cultures, and leadership behaviours that enable people to lead with confidence, presence, and impact.

Using storytelling, research, and lived experience as her foundation, Carla helps organisations rethink how they develop leaders, advance women, and embed inclusion as a strategic advantage — not just for today, but for the future of work.
