Gina Buckney UN Women UK Recognition
Corporate transformation expert and award-winning international speaker Gina Buckney has been officially recognised by UN Women UK for her participation in the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69).
The certificate of participation, received this week, celebrates her ongoing contribution to gender equality and female empowerment, two causes she is deeply passionate about.
“It was such a proud moment to see that certificate in my inbox,” said Buckney. “Being part of CSW69 and contributing to the global dialogue on women’s rights is something I’ll never take for granted.”
CSW69, held by the United Nations in partnership with civil society and government bodies around the world, is the largest annual gathering focused on advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. As part of her involvement, Gina joined voices with other influential leaders and changemakers to help accelerate progress for women and girls globally.
A long-standing advocate for workplace equity, Buckney has built her platform around championing women in leadership, particularly in traditionally male-dominated industries.
“I’ll continue to speak up for closing the gender pay gap,” she explained. “Women and girls deserve to be paid fairly and treated with equity in every space, especially in the workplace.”
Buckney also uses her influence to promote STEM education and career pathways for young women.
“We urgently need more female role models in science, technology, engineering, and maths,” she said. “Encouraging girls to explore these fields early on and helping them see that they belong there is something I’m committed to.”
With a career that spans leading global transformation programmes and educating companies like BT, Microsoft, and HSBC, Gina brings a unique perspective to the gender conversation, grounded in real corporate experience and a strong understanding of systemic change.
