Job of the Week: Business Development Lead – Your People Power (Fully Flexible)
What if business development wasn’t about cold selling… but about building meaningful partnerships that genuinely change workplace culture?
This week, we’re doing something slightly different.
Instead of spotlighting a global corporate, we’re opening the doors to an opportunity inside Your People Power itself.
We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to help support the next stage of growth for a business focused on workplace wellbeing, leadership, culture, emotional intelligence, and the future of human performance.
And no — this isn’t your typical “sales role.”
This is relationship-led growth.
Human-first strategy.
Commercial impact with purpose behind it.
💡 Why this role matters
The workplace is changing rapidly.
Organisations are rethinking:
- Leadership
- Employee wellbeing
- Burnout prevention
- Human connection
- Communication and emotional intelligence
- Retention and workplace culture
And increasingly, companies are recognising that people strategy is business strategy.
That’s where Your People Power comes in.
From keynote speaking and leadership development through to workplace wellbeing consultancy and culture transformation, the business works with organisations that want to build healthier, more engaged, and higher-performing teams.
This role is about helping those conversations happen.
Not through aggressive outreach or transactional selling — but through strategic relationship-building, commercial awareness, and identifying aligned opportunities.
🚀 What you’ll be doing
As Business Development Lead, you’ll help identify and nurture opportunities that align with the Your People Power mission and brand positioning.
You will:
- Build relationships with aligned businesses, decision-makers, and strategic partners
- Identify opportunities across speaking, consultancy, workshops, events, and partnerships
- Support inbound conversations and commercial follow-up activity
- Help shape proposals, partnership conversations, and collaboration opportunities
- Research organisations, trends, and opportunities within wellbeing, leadership, HR, and future-of-work spaces
- Work closely with the founder to support strategic growth initiatives
- Contribute ideas around visibility, partnerships, positioning, and growth opportunities
This is a highly flexible role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, relationship-building, and working within a purpose-led business environment.
🧠 Who this role would suit
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Loves connecting people and opportunities
- Understands relationship-led business development
- Is commercially aware but people-focused
- Has confidence communicating with senior stakeholders and organisations
- Enjoys flexible, entrepreneurial environments
- Is proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Has an interest in leadership, workplace wellbeing, culture, or personal development
Experience in business development, partnerships, account management, recruitment, events, HR, marketing, or commercial relationship management would all translate well into this opportunity.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone aligned with the values behind the brand.
🌍 Why flexibility matters here
This role is fully flexible and designed around outcomes, not presenteeism.
Because high performance doesn’t always come from rigid structures.
For the right person, this creates the opportunity to:
- Work remotely
- Build around other commitments or projects
- Grow alongside an evolving business
- Have genuine input into ideas and opportunities
- Operate with trust, autonomy, and flexibility
For many people, especially those stepping away from traditional corporate environments, that flexibility can be incredibly valuable.
✨ A different kind of growth role
At Your People Power, relationships matter.
Integrity matters.
Reputation matters.
Human connection matters.
This isn’t about chasing volume for the sake of it.
It’s about building aligned partnerships, meaningful conversations, and sustainable growth around work that genuinely impacts people’s lives and workplace experiences.
That requires emotional intelligence as much as commercial awareness.
💬 Final thought
Business development is evolving.
The strongest commercial professionals today aren’t just persuasive — they’re emotionally intelligent, strategic, credible, and relationship-driven.
If you’re someone who enjoys connecting people, spotting opportunities, building trust, and contributing to something purpose-led and growing…
This could be a very exciting opportunity to be part of the journey.
